Crave REAL connection with all those badass business owners you see killing it in FB groups, Instagram, and just in general all over the internet? So.do.I.
I noticed a trend around the industry over the past year…coffee chats. Everyone was connecting with each other over in-person and virtual coffee chats. And at first they seemed to be a phenomenal way to connect. Everyone building relationships, getting to know each other better, by default getting to know their businesses better, and it was really strengthening the community.
And then some dicks had to come in and start sucking the fun out of it. Next thing I know coffee chats in this fun creative space were being turned into “hey, I want to get to know you so I can leverage who I know you know, and get what I want.” Which is pretty much the exact thing that we all hate about traditional corporate networking get togethers, right? The whole “give me your card so we can connect!” Which just leads to some icky feeling dull conversations.
No thank you.
Let’s go deeper this year. And totally not in the “that’s what she said” way. Let’s build deeper connections. Get to know people better. Have FUN and LAUGH with badass women more. And what better way to do that then over the best cocktails?
So join me, starting on Jan 12th, every Thursday evening (because that’s when happy hour is, duh) as I decompress & connect with some of our favorites in the industry to take a peek behind the online persona, and get them to share their guilty pleasures, rollercoaster stories, thoughts on current events (no politics), failures, and a whole lotta personal sharing! Finally, a happy hour just for us!
So head to your nearest liquor store, buy your favorite wine in bulk, mark your calendars for Thursday January 12th, leave your idea of the standard "tell me about your business and teach us something for 45 minutes" at the door, and get ready for a party that will be so fetch it will make Regina George jealous.

She comes from a design and advertising background having worked for one of Ad Age’s “top 10 agencies to watch in the U.S.” where she worked on campaigns for Volvo, Trident, Converse, and more. She also has worked extensively in the in-house design field, helping companies discover their brand story and how to infuse it into everything they do. She broke out on her own in 2014 and launched what is currently Meghan Maydel in early 2015. When she isn’t typing away at her laptop you can find her hoarding a supply of pumpkin beer, planning next year's Halloween set up, and/or having a good laugh with her hubby and 2 fur babies, Yadi & Guinness.
